I'm shopping for a high quality elliptical machine. I need something that is easy on the joints but still gives you a great workout. Any ideas?

Come on. I'm not for a minute saying that those two brands aren't top notch but "the only ways to go"...? Good thing the Nautilus or Nordic Trac people can't sue you.

I ended up going with a Bowflex Max Trainer M7, which I know is a hybrid stair climber, but the movement is super smooth, and my knee hurts less than when I had an elliptical.

I ended up buying a Sole E98. It's amazing. The LifeFitness one I used at the gym sucks compared to this.

Tony Little's Gazelle isn't as cheesy as it seems, if you really use it with exertion. It's good for pecs, traps, glutes, and cardio.

Hi there, reviving thread- looking for high quality Elliptical to purchase over holidays.

Did some research. Feeling like getting an iFit enabled one, despite ongoing cost. Hopefully, the variation and scenic videos will have me using the machine more as I tend to get bored easily. And we are on the shorter side, so would prefer slightly shorter stride length, even better if its variable.

Zeroed on this one, NordicTrack Commercial 14.9- only problem is can't try this out anywhere before I purchase:

Anyone has experience with or any insight into this- thanks!
