And I just took a 40-minute run on the treadmill. I noticed the product helped cut a bit of exercise lag and soreness.

However, given that is still a very powerful drink, would it be a good idea to drink this everytime I hit the gym?

I personally wouldn't do it every time. Gatorade is great for distance running (like runners on a track, marathons, etc.) but I don't think you'd need it for your everyday workout. Gatorade has lots of sugar and salt. You don't need extra of either. That sugar is fueling your workout, but you can get the same result eating something before you workout.

The drinks just add calories that I personally don't need.

The sodium in it isn't too bad (110mg) but 23g of sugar is probably not something you want in your body prior to a long workout.

Look into a pre-workout powder that you can purchase in bulk. I use Cellucor C4 quite a bit and it's a big seller on most sites.
