You can get the same benefit by doing "handstand pushups". This is basically where you stand on your hands with your feet resting against a wall then you perform pushups from this position. They are not easy but they work.

Ab Wheel
The best invention ever is the ab wheel. I only do 3 sets of 15 per day and it has taken me from a six to and eight pack. I tore the crap out of my stomach muscles the first few times I did it but now am conditioned to it.
I will have to try the perfect pushup and look at adding it to my routine. How many sets does it generally require to get results? Currently, I do 3 sets of 50 pushups in between my ab wheel sets. I also do 600 crunch every day as I watch the news in the morning. I have never built mass doing pushups but have found more success using weights at the gym.

Who would have ever thought that such a device would be soooooo good. Its bascially a lawnmower wheel with handles and I love it. First time I tried it I could barely do three. I love my ab wheel.

huge waist of time and money. want to do pushups that WORK? Do them on your knuckles (strengthens the wrists and forearms), your fingertips (strengthens the hands and wrists), with your hands together so your thumbs and forefingers touch and form an upside down diamond-shaped formation (puts more pressure on your triceps and shoulders), and the dive bomber pushup which works out your arms, shoulders and back all at once.
15 knuckles
15 fingertips
15 diamonds
15 dive bombers
do that everyday for 5 days a week...I dare you.

They work great. i've noticed a big difference since i started using them. i bought mine at walmart 5 months ago and i have noticed a big difference in the size of my chest ,back and arms. my wife said she started noticing a difference after about two months. if you use them according to the chart you will see what i'm talking about. also i only paid 20 bucks for mine and i love them.

Thanks to all that posted. I actually gave up on this post when it started out with negative posts. Anyway I purchased the product 2 weeks ago and so far so good, although I wonder how long it will hold up long term. I weigh 240 and it does not seem like it will hold my weight forever (although it says made for up to 300 pounds). Good product and I'm sure as it evolves they will improve upon that as well as the padding on the bars ( a bit hard although I use gloves anyway so it does not affect me), and the size of the bars (a bit big).

Negetivity
It doesn't matter what you talk about, someone always has something negetive to say about everything. THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS

My health club has them - they're over in the stretching area. They are interesting looking, I will try them out since I've seen this thread.
Also, worth mentioning I once saw a guy grab light-weight dumbbells, position them on the floor in a push-up-type manner, and then he did a pushup followed by a pause at the top while he quickly pulled up each one-at-a-time off the ground and then brought them down. It was a brilliant-looking exercise... he worked both the biceps and triceps as well as all the muscles on the front of his body and back. He was sweaty after just a few sets and had nearly a full upper body workout in just a few minutes. That's something for anyone to potentially add to their workout.

Those are commonly called "Renegade Rows". Pretty brutal excercise.
