Eating vegan is one of the best ways to stay healthy. Experts have discovered that a plant-based diet reduces one’s risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. In fact, researchers at the Mayo Clinic found that long-term vegetarians live on average 3.6 years longer than their meat-eating counterparts.
Vegan and vegetarian diets are very different.

Getting leaner is usually automatic on a plant-based diet. How long you have been on this one?

I would wager because it is so inexpensive and widely available.

Since I am allergic to dairy, whey is out of the question for me. Egg white powder, which the the purest and best form of protein, costs about twice as much. Soy is also unacceptable because of its phytoestrogens.

So for me, the easiest, least costly, most convenient options are (wild caught) red and pink salmon.

That is completely false. (And nothing is more threatening to health than eating animals.)

Q: If muscles are based on animal protein, then where do the largest animals -- vegetarians -- get their protein?

Vegan bodybuilding makes sense for those who want a lean, cut look. If you're bulking, you can't bulk on a vegan diet. Sorry, you can't do it.

I agree with that. Vegan and/or vegetarian diets let you maximize your genetic potential, but beyond that you would need to spend all your time eating to get bulky (beyond the natural limits of your DNA). If you are genetically lean, you will be lean & cut. If you are genetically stocky, you will be bulky and cut, but not necessarily huge.
