You can only change yourself, not others. You can live alone, live with other vegans, or learn to live with carnivores. BTW, if they don't cook it in the house, where do you expect them TO cook it? You are not being realistic.
Being a vegan, how can I convince my non-vegetarian roommates not to cook non-vegetarian food in the house? I don't want to be rude, but since they are in the majority(2 vs 1) I am kind of in a weird situation of how to ask them to not cook nonveg in the house.
Do them all a favor and find somewhere else to live. There's no way a vegetarian can live among normal people and not be rude. The fact that you think you be should be able to require them to not cook their chosen meals in their own residence, highlights the problem.
Personally, if I lived in a house with people who put ketchup on hotdogs or mustard on burgers I'd be similarly offended as the OP. I would start eviction proceedings.

If they ever put mayonnaise on the burgers, I promise you no one would ever find the bodies.

Yes! Thank you! And since we’re on the topic, when did it become acceptable for restaurants to make mayonnaise a default ingredient for burgers? They never come with ketchup or mustard listed on the menu, but you can bet your a $ $ they’ll come with the mayo slopped on unless you specify you don’t want it. Gag.
I rarely eat meat, but do eat it sometimes. At one time I had a vegetarian roommate from India (when I was in college). She complained because I (rarely) cooked meat in MY PANS.
I told her to buy her own pans.
You are being totally unreasonable, OP. But it surely won't last for long, given the average lifespan of vegans.

I live in New Jersey, and I see you are in Virginia. I thought randomly slapping unwanted mayonnaise on burgers was a southern thing. I think I was in your state the first time it happened and I told the server I didn't want mayonnaise on my burger and she said, "You should have told me you didn't want mayonnaise when you ordered it." WHAT? Why would I even think to ask that? It never even occurred to me that someone would put mayonnaise on a burger!
But then, it happened somewhere up north, too. New York State, maybe.
