I did something to my shoulder, not sure what. It affects my range of motion doing any overhead type of lifts such as arnold presses, overhead press, etc. Because it affects my range of motion I feel I'm lifting lighter than I should.
I have similar issue. Anti inflammatory meds might help but check with doctor first. I can't take them because of reactions with my existing medications. Ice is your friend. I have been lifting light and also giving the shoulder a rest. It is getting better.

Would a chiro help?
You may've torn your rotator cuff. Do NOT do any kind of lifting that uses that shoulder.
I tore my rotator cuff and I went to my ortho and got a cortisone shot - at the time I had hardly any range of motion. Then I saw a PT and did their routine to build the strength back up. It took some time.
Stop lifting and see if it gets better. If not got a sports medicine ortho/chiropractor. Difficulty with chiropractors is the majority are quacks. They could help, depending on what the injury is, mostly in terms of palliative care while the body heals itself and with doing some PT/stretching/stim treatments that can actually do something. Problem is most of them do manipulation first and diagnostics only after they've milked you for three times a week sessions for several months. That may be what you need or may not be. The way you find out is getting diagnostics. Chiropractor was quite helpful for the early stages of rehab with the ACL tear in keeping mobility. On the other hand, I went to one connected with a sports medicine clinic meaning I saw the orthopedist first who did diagnostics. If I just went with a quack they'd be more likely to just make when they started wrenching on me knee.
You didn't tear a rotator cuff. If so, you literally could not raise your arm above your shoulder. You're saying that you're limited as to the weight you can handle and that, to me, doesn't sound like a rotator cuff issue.
Before you spend time and money on a doctor, rest it completely for at least a week and see how it's doing. If in a week it is no better or even worse, then it's time to see a doc. You may have stressed a tendon and are dealing with inflammation and it might simply need to "calm down" for a while.
My PCP tested my range of motion and sent me to physical therapy for a better assessment. If they consider it necessary, they send you to an orthopedist for an MRI and even more evaluation. I've been doing physical therapy for 6 weeks and got back a lot of range of motion. They just put in a request with insurance to extend it since it's going fine.
Tendon and cartilage injuries take time. Just be sure whatever you're doing with the joint is not making it worse.
