Music While Working Out
What do you guys/gals like for working out as far as ipods go?
The shuffle is small and cheap, no display.
The nano is a little bigger and a little more $ but has a display.
Do you runners like the shuffle or others?
Do you really need a display when you're running?
Is the nano too big, does it get in the way while running?
thanks
RS

I work out and run with the Nano and I love it. I prefer the screen and the nano is small to put on a armband and run with. No complaints here....

Im thinking about buying a shuffle. Im too much of a cd person to spend more on the whole ipod shabang. Just want something small enough to run with.

I use an iPod Video. Fits very nicely on my arm and doesn't get in the way.

I have an old-school iPod. I'm upgrading to a Nano soon, I swear! I have an arm band it does not get in the way when I run or work out. I have several playlists for running, working out, etc which is great.

I LOVE my Nano. I also have the Nike+ which you can connect to your Nano and it tracks your runs. It's pretty awesome!
I don't think I can work out without my iPod. I hate to say it but I'm totally dependent. Listening to music while running just takes your mind off the fact that you can barely breathe. Heehee.
We bought Shuffles as Christmas presents for some fam and they love it. Whatever gets you to the gym or workin' out is worth the money!

I'm with foma on this. I use the Nano because I have the Nike+. Before that I had a shuffle - the small clip one and I loved it. But my son got me the Nike+ for Xmas so now I use the Nano.

Nano all the way.....it holds all the tunes I want or need for my long power walks, and it has plenty left over for a movie or two, or other vids.....
Only downer on them: the battery is NOT user replaceable. You have to send it in to Apple! I don't like that!
