Wow, more posters here losing weight than gaining! Good job.
Pre covid I was walking hours everyday, an added benefit to my particular expertise, and that opportunity was lost as part of the shut down. My home has no stairs and I have gained the covid 15. I sit in this computer chair too many hours a day. I live on dirt icy roads no sidewalks with no good place to walk in the winter.
But now that Spring is just about here I am so ready to begin so many different outdoor activites, house fixing, walking, gardening and so much more. Once I am vaccinated I really look forward to returning to the opportunites of my profession that just happen to have the added benefit of a lot of walking. I want to be able to MOVE my body again!
Wow Fluffy that’s a lot of weight! I decided to get serious about my health and also part of that was eating healthier, exercising more and quit drinking. I have always done some exercise.
Excellent. Well done! You've really gotten serious about your rebirth.
Part of my weight loss was muscle mass, so I'm working now on getting my strength back.
I started a long-term weight loss project in November of 2019. While there was disruption in March 2020 when we actually moved into the limited operations, work-from-home, mask-buying, teddy-bear-in-the-window, Tiger King phase of the pandemic, I've managed to remain successful. I think the isolation and the ability to focus on health without a lot of other distractions has been of benefit to me.
Fluffy, it’s been quite the year as August was when I decided to address my health. Then on December 22 found out my husband was cheating and we were divorced by 1/19. Can’t wait to move into my condo on 3/23. My income is cut in half but honestly feel free without having to worry about his spending, taking care of him, all his junk and hoarding tendencies and his general laziness. He wasn’t like that when I married him and we were happy for a long time. I just didn’t notice the slow descent into misery.

Onward and downward.
That is awesome! Congrats and don't give up! What's your end goal weight and do you have a "date" you'd like to achieve that by?
The same, approximately 175 lbs at 6'4". There has been no discernable change with my diet or exercise, though perhaps a bit less activity in day to day life.

The biggest problem was the loss of the local gym, with its walking track. "
Two things--I like to brush my teeth after eating and leave some toothpaste "residue" in my mouth--makes any subsequent food taste so bad that I give up.
I believe "You can't outrun a fork."
