Default Workout Gear Suggestions, do you have favorites

Can you tell me what you consider the best workout gear or your favorite gear and why.

I am trying to stay motivated to exercise more. I used to do it a lot as I was a collegiate athlete. Years later with a family & a mortgage, I am out of the loop. However, I have started again and I hate the big t-shirts & baggy shorts I am wearing. To me they are cumbersome to workout in.

I remember I used to love to exercise in certain clothes as it was comfortable but flattering. I don't remember the brands. So I wanted suggestions for great workout gear....

By the way, does anyone watch the sitcom workout? I wish I had a gym like that near me. It seems like a place you would want to hang out at.

I cant say too much about workout gear since Im a guy and usually just workout in Addidas shorts and shirts. I do however always urge people to workout in something that is form fitting so that you can see your progress or get inspired by seeing that you need to workout harder.

I have seen the Workout show but its a reality show, not a sitcom (situation comedy). Its pretty good but the young blonde girl who was having an affair with the gym owner is annoying.

I'm down from Large to a Medium size pants and shirts, so that's a nice change LOL
Wear something you're comfy in, what differentce does it make if it's a brand name or no name?

When I'm at the gym to just lift weights, I am not as concerned about what I am wearing. Usually it will be a fitted T-shirt and long pants. My pants will be more of a "yoga" style pants that are stretchy and more form fitting on top and a wider leg at the bottom. I also like pants with a draw string because I've been losing weight lately (good thing), and I've noticed that they help keep my pants up. The other thing that I am picky about are my gloves. I have long, slender fingers, and I don't want callouses. It's sometimes hard to find gloves with the half fingers that are long enough to cover to at least the mid-finger length.

When I am doing intensive cardio like running, that is when I am much more picky. Dri-fit tops by Nike are what I wear on top. I'm not as picky about pants/shorts, but I am very picky about socks and shoes. Dri-fit socks with a thick, cushy padding on the bottoms and running shoes specially fitted for my arch and foot type.
