It's Amazing how a little time off from excersize makes me feel weak and flabby. I was working out a few hours everyday doing martial arts and than I stopped when I moved to a new area. Found a new place to train now, but it's amazing how much harder it is to do pushups and stuff when you haven't been! Can't wait to feel strong and have muscles again!! I Still look like I'm in good shape, but Can feel the difference. My arms and legs are not hard anymore. Guess I learned my lesson!! Don't Stop!

I hear that. Back when I took ballet, my teachers had a saying: Miss one class, and you will know it. Miss two classes, and everyone will know it.

Sometimes a little break will give me a noticeable burst of strength, like I can bench 5 or 10 lbs more than I did the previous week. Maybe my muscles needed a good rest or something. But other times, ugh! I didn't work out at all last week (other than a lot of walking and spending some time in the water) because we were busy with guests. We got back into our routine this week, and I sure feel it.

I've now been doing crossfit for 3 months. Weight Lost: 8.5 pounds, Body Fat: -8.5%, Lean Mass: +3.5 pounds. I lost some lean muscle between this month and last month, so I need to start eating a little more.

I deadlifted my bodyweight today for the first time!

I gained a good chunk of my weight back...my eating habits haven't changed but when I lost my job the gym membership was one of the things I let go. Then it was hot all the time and I couldn't walk. And then I just made excuse after excuse and now I'm up two pants sizes. I've gotta find something I can do at home until the weather cools off but my biggest problem right now is I'm so unmotivated.

My age is definitely working against me. It's hard to fight biology, but you can't stop trying. Here is me still at 145lb and getting older.

I couple years ago my boys ages 10 and 12 would grab my upper arms and say "geez! Your arms are hard as a rock!" Now since I haven't been excersizing for a couple of years they like to touch my legs and arms to see how wiggly they are! It's pretty annoying, I admit! HAHA! They even do it in front of people! I guess I'm a good example to them. Now my 12 year old son wants to join Martial Arts with me again and work out in the gym everyday.
I would suggest to you to find someone else to work out with if you can. It's ALOT more fun with someone else and also easier to keep up with it if you're both committed. If you can't afford to join a gym anymore this would probably be the next best thing.

I walked two miles last night. Not really record breaking but it was nice to just get up and do it before I talked myself out of it. I may go again tonight if it doesn't rain.
