Agree. You'd be far better served hitting some weights. Frankly, you're weight should put you at an OK BMI for your height right now (not that BMI is the best measure at all). Super skinny isn't healthy, and isn't attractive on a woman, or a man.

Yup, but I have been losing weight like clockwork on the exercise/diet plan I am on. My medium term plan is to get down to ~160. And then begin a full fledged bulking up plan by hitting the weights and begin consuming a lot more calories and protein. I would like to get ripped by starting off with a body that has little excess fat. Right now my body composition is very poor. Skinny neck and arms but too much fat around the gut, hips and chest.
I once weighed 310 lbs. I grew enormously in high school and I was on the offensive line. No more football and a few years later I lost 116 lbs to get down to 194. Since then my weight has seesawed from anywhere between 200-240.

just checking in to say I've GAINED 5 more lbs. I was on a med with weight gain as a side effect. I am now off of it and doing gym classes 1-2/week and doing TV workouts almost every day that I don't do a class. My goal is to fit back into last year's pants.

Some of you people are going to be in for a real shocker when you're laying in a hospital bed dying of nothing.

I am slinking back into the fitness forum. I need to lose THIRTY more pounds! I've only lost 12 lbs STILL and I'm still overweight. At least my diet is better.
Anyway, today's as good a day to start as any. My goal is to get rid of the excess weight by the end of September. I don't want to admit it, because I'm ashamed...but admitting is the first step, right? I weigh ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY POUNDS. UGH. I'll try to be 158 by the end of the week.
I dropped my gym membership, but I have a dance studio and a big field that I've started running on. Running on grass seems to be a lot more comfortable than a hard surface. I got an Ipod, too so I can listen to Pitbull LOL while running. My plan is:
1. Run or dance in the morning and evening for at least 30 minutes per day.
2. Do yoga for at least 5 minutes per day.
3. Work on my abs and thighs for at least 5 minute per day.
4. Stop eating in the evening w/o doing exercise afterwards. I am naughty.
5. Stick to 1800 calories a day.

Hopefully I'm using this thread correctly. Today, mowed a running path in the field. My riding mower's broken LOL, so I used the small mower. Ran on my path. Did a couple yoga moves and used the barre. Did some plies for the first time today. Knees creaked, but no pain.
Did natarajasana. Think I must have passed a mental blockage, because I think that's the farthest I ever got. Did some thigh and hamstring stuff in order to try to do the splits. No noticeable progress.
Per scale, weigh 158 large and luscious pounds. Waist is currently a chunky and bodacious 35 inches. Resisted urge to suck in tummy while measuring.
Was bad last night and had whole papaya, two egg salad+parsley sandwiches on whole wheat and rice cakes. Did minimal activity and fell asleep.
Had protein shake w/ frozen strawberries and banana, 1/2 serving of cereal and like 5 ricecakes for brunch. Had two cups of coffee with almond milk and sugar. Good, I just stopped munching on ricecakes. Need to be vigilant for 4 months.

I haven't really been watching my calories as much as I should, but not doing too badly. I'm just guesstimating calorie counts now. Last night had noodles and bean sauce for dinner. Also made pralines! About $700 calories in total, but too much sugar.
Ran, danced and did yoga. Did a couple of side bends and more plies.
Working on the flexibility for the splits and did the dancer again. Going to youtube the "frog" pose. It is not in my book, and I've never done it in class. The goal is to avoid injury!
Speaking of which, tried to relax knees to floor in butterfly. I realize I tense my hips...and when I relaxed them it was scary LOL and I also felt a little pain in my left hip socket or something. Did relax a little more than usual.
Moving furniture and vacuuming downstairs to get ready for the cleaning company. That's exercise, right? Planning to run, have coffee and shake for breakfast. Currently having a little indigestion because of the pralines. I deserve it.
So exercise looks good, diet is still healthy, but I need to work on paying more attention to calories and sugar. Hopefully will be down to 155 or 156 next week.
Measured waist, and it's 33.5! May be a fluke, or the side bends from yesterday?

I'm waiting for someone to warn me for misusing the thread...Hopefully I'm not doing this incorrectly. Sooo, went to bed last night after eating my pasta salad and leftover pralines without doing much exercise. That was bad.
I did bring the chairs upstairs and walk around the garden. Luckily I still appear to be 156-158 chunktacular pounds. So no weight gain, and possible loss of 1 lb. Also drank 1 glass of white wine because of tension. It really helped. I wanted to drink another glass, but fell asleep.
Had a shake for breakfast leftover from yesterday w protein, yeast, fruit etc. Had my vitamins. I just ate like 5 brown rice cakes ~500 cals. Drank 2 cups of coffee w almond milk. No water yet today, I'm going to buy two bottles now. Maybe I'll try the filtered...
Going to eat my big apple in a few hours. Planning egg sandwich and pumpkin soup for dinner. Stopping by Lowes to get some mulch, cement, a 2 by 4, brackets and cases of bottled water.
Ran this morning, did yoga and some barre exercises. Planning a lot of gardening and yard cleanup for the weekend. Now my writsts have healed, I may start digging the holes for the arbor. Rain or shine. Planning to do more ab exercises for the weekend. I'll create the daily fitness plan today.
If I can lose the 30 LBS in fewer than 4 months...all the better for me!

Waist still 33.5, scale says 155-157. Ran a little yesterday, danced and did yoga and stretches. Did yard work today. 2 cups of coffee with milk and sugar, soymilk. Chikn pattie on whole wheat with mayo is the only food so far so maybe 400 cals used so far... 1 glass of water (filtered ugh) with emergenC and vitamins.

Fell of the wagon as expected over the weekend. Not food-wise. Did have Chinese, but still eating the leftovers and had brown rice. Ran only once over the weekend. Vegetated on Sunday. Scale says 157-159 today, but waist is 33 inches. Creating daily Journal...
