I am going to be taking a class starting next month and wanted to see if anyone here is familiar with Krav Maga.

Are the moves easy to remember?

Krav Maga isn't a complex and flashy martial art, all of the moves are designed to be quick and lethal. Just like anything, the more you practice, the more "muscle memory" takes place and they become second nature.

That's just what I am looking for. I have heard about muscle memory and it makes perfect sense.

Thanks

What kind of lethal techniques do they teach?

Yes, i've taken classes. Just like anything else, you'll learn moves over and over until it comes without thinking. It's an excellent self defense art.

It's not so much "lethal techniques". It's more no nonsense, quick, efficient for the street defense/offensive tactics. Do a web search and you'll find a lot of info and video's as well.

Thanks. I was wondering as I've never seen anything all that lethal in civilian KM.

I'm not familiar with KM, not from actually having tried it, so this could be incorrect info, but I have read somewhere that KM's defensive moves are designed to follow from the movements people make reflexively when attacked, and further designed to lead smoothly into effective counterattacks. If this is correct, it should enhance the learning of the style, since you don't have to unlearn natrual responses while learning the moves for this style.
