It's been brought to my attention that Mike passed away a few days ago in Latvia attending a family wedding. I guess he went for a swim and drowned. If I find out more details, I'll pass them on.

I always enjoyed our conversations on here and he was always willing to share good advice. Mike was definitely a stand-up and good natured guy. I had been looking forward to hearing from him and he'll certainly be missed around here.

A good way to honor his memory and life would be to push yourself a little harder in the gym or doing whatever it is you do. Mike would want it that way.

RIP, buddy. Next set of squats are in your honor and I'll make sure to get some lumberjacks in.

I can't imagine anyone would lie about this, but I'm in disbelief too. Drowned in Latvia??

We'll miss ya, buddy.

Yeah, Mike was born in Latvia and he told me about a week or so ago he was going on vacation. He would go there with his family quite a bit. Believe me, I wish there was some sort of hope that this is a hoax.

That is so sad.....I don't post on this forum often but I always liked the advice he would give to others and motivation to get into better shape. My thoughts go out to his family....
