Oh poor baby, you sound just like me. When I go to an asian restaurant 90 percent of my plate has RICE on it! LOL Alas, I live for my carbs, and have the waistline to prove it.

I wish that someone would tell me what the secret is to no longer WANT the food that I love and to figure out how to LOVE the food that I hate. LOL

The reason I don't like the frozen meals is that they are not filling for me, for the calories they have. Home cooked is so much more satisfying for me.

What works for me is eating whatever I want in small portions. For instance, if you want a piece of birthday cake, have a smaller than regular serving size. Portion control is key.
One time I went on the nutrisystem diet. They have a good system, teach you portion control and that's how I got my idea for a daily salad.
The food is horrible but if you can stomach it for a week or a month just to learn portions, it's worth it.
Around 3 or so in the afternoon when I seem to think I'm hungry, I eat a salad. I would say that was my biggest helper was eating the daily salad.
Of course you also need to exercise.

See.... this is the thing and this is very much why i've seen people yo yo diet and constantly struggle. This is what I tell my clients....

First i tell them I need to break them down...meaning they need to re-train their metabolism and cut body fat. It's different for each person but for instance....a 20 year old girl I'm training now came in with almost 35 percent body fat.....I put her on a strict diet for only 6 weeks and she lost 12 percent body fat! Her metabolism is retrained now so I told her to slowly add back in small amounts of the things she loved like red meats and starches. She called me yesterday and told me that she ate cookies and bread and cake over christmas and she was so worried she would gain weight but she actually lost 2ibs in the last 2 weeks.....she was totally excited so I congratulated her on re-training her metabolism so that she can work those foods she loves back into her diet....in moderation of course .

So what i'm saying is that break yourself down to build yourself up....re-train your metabolism and consistently workout to keep that metabolism and you can eat all of those things, within moderation, that you love. I'm italian..I could never give up bread or pasta so I don't....I just consistently work out and keep burnin' them right off

Getting inshape and feeling good doesn't have to be so hard...I promise.

I like them for the portion control and the fact that I only normally cook for myself. I do not have the portion control thing down and they seem to do the trick as long as I'm drinking water.
