For me, there is no better feeling in the world (well maybe one) than the feeling of having worked out. I feel so much more alive, energetic and mentally sharp. I sleep better, I feel great in my movements/sports (primarily martial arts) and I just love it.
My gym give more of an EXPERIENCE of working out which I love. More so than just going in the garage or just lifting some weights.
It doesnt hurt that the Kardashian clan, The Rock and a bunch of other celebs workout there as well.
I also still have my Magic Johnson's 24Hr Fitness membership as well but dont there as much. Magic's place is in Sherman Oaks Galleria and is HUGE. He's usually there himself working out.
I just lift and Run on the indoor track sometimes. I recently started to play wallyball on Friday Mornings with this group that regularly does it. I play 'above the net' LOL.
I used to belong ot LA Fitness- they have an indoor bball court, but it's small, with no reall out of bounds space, so if you are chasing a loose ball, or going up fast for a lay up, you have to be careful or you are hitting a wall. It's real crowded there too, so you have to get there early or you are watching.
I mainly lift weights at the gym, 3 to 4 times a week. Cardio I try to get outside to do - biking is my favorite, but that's tough in the winter. I'm thinking the next gym I join will be one that has spinning classes, as a way to "keep up" with biking in the winter months.
I do a minimum of 40 minutes cardio. Always on the Expresso bike for part of it. I'm addicted. Been rowing lately, too. I do some lifting, but that is only about 1/3 of the time that I am there.
