I like to listen to metal and something high intensity like Children of Bodom, but sometimes the wires get in the way and start to get annoying when you keep ripping a headphone off your ear with your elbow.

I turn up my ipod as loud as it can go so I don't have to hear the rude, inconsiderate person next to me talking loudly on their cell phone- Usually, I'm listening to club music.

This brings to mind a great topic for another thread: Why do people wait till they're working out to call all their contacts- as if they want the world to know they have friends ... talking loudly, and working out slowly. haa !! Their jaw burns more calories than anything else.

Nice.

When Im out on trails in the Santa Monica mountains or in any hilly area I listen to natures soundtrack. I feel like I miss out on the experience if I have my Ipod on.

When I do listen to music when working out it HAS to be high energy and usually Rage Against The Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, early Ice Cube and a few other select high energy rap that is NOT the crap you hear nowadays.

old school rap is awesome. Sirius used to have a station that played only old rap. Its gone now. A real travesty.
