Most of those things are gimicks. Abs are revealed only through diet and losing fat.

I know most of them are, and I never succumb to the infomercials, but this one got really good reviews, works more of the core... have you actually checked one out?

I tried it in the gym, you do feel it, but this could be done by good ole floor/ball exercises.

thats's exactly how I ended up buying one too, woke up to it and rolled over n picked the phone up and called. Supposed to get mine next week, but the point is, I only hear good things about it, only the price is a little bummer.

The ab coaster is one of the best informercial pieces of equipment for abs I've ever seen. I've actually had a chance to use one a few times as well. Most people do way too much work with "crunch" type motions and not nearly enough work from the hips. The Ab Coaster stabilizes the shoulders and has the ribcage in a stabilized position while the hips rotate upwards. For people who spend the majority of their life sitting, this is a much better way to work the abs IMO. Crunches are pretty useless IMO as they encourage ribcage depression and do very little to train the core for stabilization.
All that said, if all you do is the Ab Coaster and nothing else, you will not notice much in the way of results if your goal is to get lean and defined.

they have one at one of the la fitness's around here. It's nice but I wouldn't buy one. Get the same workout from other simple exercises.
