Working out in the Heat.
I just love working out when its hot. Its just after 10:20AM here and already 80 degrees and I FEEL GREAT just after my workout.
200 Jump Rope
50 double under jump rope (rope swings under twice on one jump)
Three Kung Fu forms
200 Jump Rope
50 double under jump rope
95 pound squat to overhead thruster 20 reps
200 jump rope
50 double unders
Three Kung Fu forms
200 Jump Rope
50 double unders
25 pullups
20 reps 95 pound squat to overhead thrusters
Three Kung Fu Forms
pullups to failure
95 pound squat thrusters to failure
No breaks between sets/exercises. Only enough time to get drink.
Bit of stretching and now Im done. Sweating like a pig but I feel great. When I workout in the heat, I feel like I get much more out of it, or feel like I worked harder than if I did the same workout in an air conditioned gym. Plus, I get to work on my tan at the same time.
Anyone else here love to workout when its warmer as opposed to cooler? I know its important to stay hydrated (which I am sure to do) but it just feels better.

I'm with you. I love working out in the heat. I sweat which makes me feel like I'm doing something, and then I get motivated and push myself harder.

Its going to be in the high 90s again today. I'll get my cardio workout done this morning and its currently 5:30am and 73 degrees, but later when its hotter, I'll do my CrossFit workout.

I guess I'm an oddball since I love putting the air conditioner on when it's hot and feel my weight training session benefits from it.

I work out outside all the time. I used to go to the gym but I got tired of the smells of the other people and the lame air fresheners not to mention the moldy A/C systems.
Outside is the way to go fresh air and Vitamin D from the sun.

As a very fair-skinned and eyed person, I get sunstroke very, very easily. Excercising in high heat is very physically difficult on me (not to mention the sunburn risk). When it hits 80s-90s where I live, I have to do my most strenuous biking, running, walking either very early in the morning, or at dusk, to avoid the heat of the day. I really only exercise outdoors, with the exception of yoga. No gyms, here.

I didn't mind it when I lived in SoCal nearly as much as I mind it in humidity. Yuck!
Thankfully we have a home gym/workout area in our house....fully air conditioned!

Ugh, I wish the heat didn't bother me. I can't stand working out in the heat, outside or inside. I belonged to a gym once that kept the temp REALLY high, I had to quit going because I just didn't feel well after the workouts.
