When I used to run high school track, I could run a mile in 5:40 or so. But nowadays, it's around 8-9 minutes.
Just the other day I ran 2 mile in 17 minutes (not bad for someone who hasn't ran competitively in a long time or hasn't run in almost 2 months either!!). I used to be able to run 2 miles in 12-14 minutes.

I've been off/on at my gym for the past couple months as I stubbed my big toe & thought I died. Had to wait for it to heal so (past track/runner person and I'm 47). Back again and I do an hour a day on the epi hitting just over 5 miles.
I recently ran a 10K (6.2) in 54 minutes and had a little gas left in the tank. So I would say roughly 7 in 60 minutes would be a reasonable estimate. If I could drop from 220 to 205 or so, I think I could knock out 8. However, that would mean actually cutting back on my calories, which seems to be a constant struggle, this boy likes to eat. I want to do a sub 50 min 10K again.
i ran 6.2 miles in 57 minutes. my heartrate was between 165-171. I am a 55 year old female. Nine minute miles are pretty slow. Does the high heartrate indicate that I am totally out of shape? Shouldn't I be running at least an 8 minute mile with that heartrate> Anyone know anything about this? I sure don't.
Not sure. Haven't jogged in yrs. Probably couldn't jog more than a mile or two. I can walk a little more than 4 mi in 1 hour, or bicycle a little less than 15 in traffic, did that recently.
I was able to do 7 this past Saturday in about 50 minutes.
