Constantly wrapping and unwrapping the cord and it still works for a long time.

I don't know about other Sony models but this one works great!
I had these same earphones for about 3 years or so, and they were fantastic. I've got a lot of piercings in both of my ears, and these were some of the few that didn't bother them. I also wore them under my helmet (mountain biker / snowboarder / skateboarder), and they were never interfered with. After several years of wearing them to the gym / out doing mountain sports, they started to develop a bit of an electric shock to my ear. Even when I wasn't sweaty, sometimes they would just shock me. Don't get me wrong, it felt kinda cool, but only if you're into getting shocked.

I wore them out eventually, but I was walking / skating / cycling everywhere I went (no car), so they got a good 7 hours use per day. WELL worth it!

I'm another one that has earbuds fall out constantly. Only the right one though, so I'm convinced that canal is wider than the left. Sometimes when I'm sitting at my office, the earbuds just fall out. I love the concept of ear buds. Hate the implementation.

I got some at walmart for like $9, they are like JVC brand, they fit my iPod and phone for that matter and they come in cool colors. I don't have any complaints.
