What can I do/take to gain weight? I'm 26 5'11 and have weighed about 135 for what seems like years now. I'm a very active person. I go hiking fairly often. I don't (currently) go to the gym, but I'd like to, just don't like the "all eyes on me" feeling. And also, I wouldn't know what to do once I got to the gym. Help. Please. Thanks.
Here's the other thing...I'm a UPS driver, so I don't have ready access to a lot of food, besides what I pack for lunch. I work long hours (typically 9am till 7pm or so). My lunch usually consists of two sandwichs a gatorade some fruit (either banana or apple) and a snack (protien bar). Then by the time I get home I don't feel like putting much energy into dinner...maybe go as far as pasta or one of those microwaveable Voila meals.
Does anyone maybe know of a link to a site with recipes for people like me?!
Get two foot long subs instead of just sandwiches for lunch. Thats 1000 calories each sub about. Add your snacks in and you will be gaining in no time. I suggest to buy nuts too. Packed with a lot of calories per density. Easy to eat on the go as well.
Have juice when you get home. Thats really easy to get your calories in with that stuff. Its usually 100 cals/8oz generally.Just chug it. Or chug some chocolate milk. Then have your dinner. If you eat more, you will have more energy.
Here's the thing...everyone is saying eat eat eat, I do eat. A lot! I can eat a box of pasta in two sittings! I feel like I've just leveled off. If I did start working out, does anyone think that would make a big difference?
