Guy with big thighs question
Hi,
I have pretty big thighs for a guy an I've always had this problem. Even though most of it is muscle, I really don't like how big they are because it's disproportionate to the rest of my body (Esp my upper body), and I have problems with jeans fitting/looking good, so is there anything I can do to get them leaner, or is this just a genetic thing that I will have to live with? Even if I can't get rid of them completely, what can I do to mitigate the problem as best as I can?

Lose the fat off them first. Then if they are still too big and you have no health problems you can water fast the muscle off. A large part of a faster metab come from having muscular thighs. So be aware of that when you start eating again. You will not be able to eat the same way. I reduced my thigh muscle with water fasting. I had built them up from sprinting and they just did not go away with not using it anymore.

Become a cyclist. We like big legs!
The jean thing is always a problem though. Belts are our friends.

I have a big time issue with jeans and dress pants! What can you do....?? Clothes are set up for people who don't work out. That is the simple truth.

I'm a chick, but I have the same issue--my thighs (and butt) have always been disproportionately larger than the rest of my body (primarily upper body). Even now that I'm a diligent runner/hiker they're just large and muscular. I usually wear a size 6 or 27 in jeans and even then I get that funny gap in my waist because it's smaller than my thighs. Any size smaller though I wouldn't be able to fit in. Oh well...my husband likes my bigger bottom half so I'm not trying to make it go away that much.

I have the same problem. But mine is not disproportional. The thighs just don't fit in anything, and if I wear dress pants, and they are too tight, they will tear down the outside of my legs.
This isn't a butt problem as pinksquid has suggested.
I brought these "loose fit" jeans that fit well. So well that they look like normal jeans not loose fits, and my legs look smaller.. go figure. Other then those, I couldn't fit into any thing else except shorts that wasn't way too big for me.

Yeah, I've found that loose straight leg jeans, or even "skinny" jeans that I buy a few sizes too large fit me much better than bootcut or flared leg jeans. It also minimizes my butt and thighs.

lawl what? Skinny jeans? Flared leg jeans? I'm a guy, not a woman lol.
Btw just in case the women in this thread are conscious about it, lots of guys like girls with athletic thighs, especially guys that are into fitness I've noticed (I like legs with meat on them). Don't listen to the BS magazines try to sell about stick-thin legs being attractive. If they are lean with muscle, then that's different, but most of those celebrities have extremely skinny legs that are just skin and fat, which are not at all attractive. So yeah, just thought I'd throw that out there just in case. Sorry, I hope I'm not being weird haha.

Then, work on your upper body. Isn't it quite obvious? It is the problem of your upper body, not your leg.
