What are you doing diet wise? Anything?

Bulk is only going to come on about 1lb a week. "Cuts" will only show if you are tending to the diet stuff as well as working out. Everyone can be a little bit different in both.

How long it takes for you to obtain noticeable results in your physique is entirely dependent upon how effective your workout regimen is, as well as how healthy your diet is. If your goal is to add muscle mass and reduce body fat content, and to get more muscle definition (gettin' 'ripped') you need to make sure you're doing your resistance (weight) training properly. Things like isolating muscle groups, or working on opposing muscle groups, etc.
As a personal trainer, it's usually my job to tell people like you, who want fatser results, to hire one of us! LOL.

lol, my diet hasnt changed at all, ive cut down though on all foods, no sodas, smaller portions, not eating late, drinking alot of water, ive see definition on my shoulders, not definition on my arms, but more bulk, definiton but no bulk on my chest, my stomach, no definiton but definately flatter. I see definition on the back of my arms, and my overall physiche and posture is definately improving.

It all depends on:

1. How hard you are working out (the intensity).
2. Your nutritional intake.
3. Your genes/body that you have now and current fitness (i.e., body fat % level).
4. What routines/exercises you are doing and the amount of weight/reps you do.

You really didnt answer Pitts question regarding what you are doing on your diet. You just spouted off things you are NOT eating, but didnt mention what you ARE eating.

Is it better to do long workouts, with more reps, or short intense workout with more weight and less reps?

Cool. Just keep it up. No need for me to help you out anymore since you seem to have things totally in hand. Good luck Holmes.
