What are sport watches suppose to do that regular watches do not and what are the features that they normally come with? I only need a watch for jogging and running that is waterproof so I will know how long I did it for cause I don't want to use the cell phone. Please recommend any good ones that you personally used that are no more than $45.
Save yer money, mate! A good ol' fashioned watch/clock is all anyone needs to keep fit. All the rest of those do dads just make you a little poorer and the seller a richer.
After all, how hard is it to measure time & distance/reps ?
I don't know what a sports watch is. But my watch is a cheap one from Wally World for $6. It's water resistant not water proof, but I've had no problems wearing it in the water. Mine does laps, does that count? What do you want a sports watch for?

cause I want' to know the amount of time I run and how long it takes me to get to a distance, etc..
Most of your generic Casio, Timex, etc watches will do it and can be had for less than twenty bucks at a box store (Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc). Most sports watches are water resistant and have features like stop watch with laps, alarm and maybe countdown timer.
if you want to get fancy speedo sells watches that can track how much uv radiation you have received during that period of time.
