If I want nice tight abs, I need to lower my body fat %. There are about 2-3 dietary tweaks I could make in order to get my fat % down, but I am not willing to do so. (It's about 20% now; I'm 40, life is short.)
Just out of curiosity, what are those tweaks and why are you unwilling to make them? I had to cut out a lot of my favorite foods in order to get fit. But I didn't do it just for the sake of vanity. I found that I became a lot healthier too. The trim midsection was a nice bonus though.

I hope you're kidding. I haven't reached middle age yet and got rid of a lot of weight in my midsection. I'm proud to say I did it with hard work, not by taking shortcuts. Maybe they should've added a tax in the recent health care bill that taxes people for getting lipo instead of actually daring to eat right and exercise.

As I said, I am 40 years old and my body fat is 20%. I feel that is acceptable, and it is also very healthy, therefore I am not willing to make any additional changes to my diet. What I can change is irrelevant since its not going to happen. I am unwilling to make any changes because I am healthy, I am happy the way I am, my lifestyle and that's it. I've posted my picture before, here it is again, if you find me unacceptable because I don't have killer abs, so be it.
Thank you. Even though I am wearing black, I think you can see I have a bit of a thick waist. As I mentioned before, that's where I carry body fat, unlucky me.
To me, deciding that I'm not good enough and should do whatever it takes to get the washboard abs is ridiculous. TO ME. That said, I wouldn't put down a woman chooses to do so. For me though, I figure life is short and I'd rather just eat whatever I want and keep the thick waist. I eat sensibly, but I have my self-indulgences too which I don't want to let go.

No, I wasn't kidding. For people who collect fats around the belly, liposuction is a great option. You can still exercise and eat right after the procedure.
