Moving to FB next summer
I am trying to find out what the best and worst things about living in FB are? We are a military family so work is not an issue but housing is a must! Where are the better areas? Where should we avoid? What about the schools? My kids are in Elementary school. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

If you are interested in experiencing the real Alaska, I suggest you live off post. Fairbanks has a very good relationship with Ft. WW and there is a lot of interaction between the two unlike some military towns I have been in. Avoid south Fairbanks. "Dry" means no running water which is very popular here. Other then that, check our newspaper
