I always find it sadly ironic how upset and outraged that some people get over animal abuse and how much compassion and humanity that they express, but they don't react the same way or give the same consideration when it is other human beings (especially babies or children), who are being abused.

For the record, my comment is not directed at any particular poster on this forum. I do not have any reason to question the sincerity of any poster. My comment is based on my observations of individuals who I've personally met and who have made comments and given opinions that have led to my observations.

Sorry, especially babies and children, get my same sentiment! As well as the elderly.

What happened to the dog is sad and certainly uncalled for, but what really irks my nerves is why people give a damn more about a dog than an ACTUAL child! Let's tackle and make our voices heard about the REAL issues FIRST folks!

WOW I made my statement before reading the other posts. It is refreshing to see that there are others with the same thought process and view point as mine.

Oh, this is ridiculous.

Just because people have compassion for animals doesn't mean they don't care about humans. Giving a damn about that poor little dog doesn't take one damned thing away from any human being.

You think people don't care about others? How many posts did the threads about the missing barista get here? This one won't get nearly as many. And somehow I do think that if this had happened to a human, there would be "outrage" etc. concerning the situation -- probably more so than what's been expressed for this dog.

What's sad to me is to see this thread trolled with attempts to put people down because of their honest repulsion of this kind of treatment towards animals.

This thread started as an expression of outrage over the barbaric treatment of an animal. Many posted simply to agree with this sentiment. But, as usual a small minority of the usual suspects (Liberals) couldn't resist the urge to chime in and start lecturing others about how they should think or feel, or what their priorities should be.

typical

ffs

Haven't you heard, Pat? Compassion is a limited commodity that must be used sparingly.

I don't believe I know anyone who wouldn't be deeply horrified if this had happened to a child instead of a dog.
