The temperatures are pretty nice today (Sunday), and hopefully the weather will hold as forecasted and told in this article:
Fairbanks Daily News-Miner - Warmer temperatures snow in forecast for Interior Alaska

Quote:
The weather service is calling for high temperatures between 5 degrees above zero and 5 degrees below zero on Sunday, with lows around 15 below. If that happens, it would mark the first time in 15 days — counting today — that the temperature at Fairbanks International Airport has climbed above 10 below.

The warmer temperatures, which should persist through next week, are expected to be accompanied by snow, too, something that has been in short supply this winter in Alaska’s second-largest city.

It's a balmy 9 degrees (above) and snowing at my house, too. So far several inches have accumulated (note the nearly invisible gas cans!!) and it doesn't look like it will let up anytime soon.

Of course, they're calling for a big drop in temps this weekend... that should help this snow stick around unless we get more high winds again

The bed of the truck is full of snow up to the water line and only the spouts of gas cans are showing... and it's still snowing down here. Thank goodness it's warm enough to be outside for extended periods so we can shovel out our paths before it gets cold again.

Just spent a couple of hours with a snowblower on my driveway We got around 12 inches of snow, while the temperature reached 28 degrees. Then it started cooling fast around 3:00 PM.
