I have a suggestion,
I lived in the mountains several years working at the ski areas and marinas as well .I had learned to take shrink wrap material we used on boats to cover my truck "58 cheve" thick oil for a tired engine too.
But keeping the truck covered and providing 60 watt light bulb next to the block did wonders for the truck starting in the morning .even 0 degree weather.(I often used a piece of card board in font of the radiator during the winter.
I would close the material in the door jamb so the wind did not blow it off or some one didn't steal it. It also kept lookey loose from snooping in the truck while at work.
Best thing was coming out after work at mid night and uncovering the truck and driving off while every one else is scrapping off frost and frozen door locks trying to get in their cars.
Boat shrink wrap is not expensive and doesn't have to be shrunk fit to function and will last for many years more than conventional tarp material.
it comes in white green and blue and clear.
I advise the blue .
More than once has one of the cat drivers hit white cars in the snow and not seen it at all.
The boat shops there should be doing the covering for winter and carrying the material.
It also can be an emergency shelter and in some cases a sled, or emergency boat skin, snow does not stick to it .
It does not tear easily and is weldable part of it's charm, shrink wrapping boats.
