What we did was buy bulk heating oil and bulk gas for our generator and they allowed us to fill up the car that way as well so we saved a little more which was nice.
The other place we found is the Tessro out by the airport had super cheap heating out this past winter. At times it was .40 less than Sourdough so you may want to give them a call and see what theirs is running right now as well.

Just get a bigger tank made up, much easier than a 55 gallon drum. Would last longer, too.

Agree with others who have said to use a larger tank. Check at Greer Welding and see what tank options they have, then explain your situation to Fairbanks Fuel. They make tanks there, so they may have some of 200 gallons. For Toyo stoves you have to use #1 fuel, unless the tank is buried, in which case you may be able to use #2 (Maybe).
