Hello Friends at Forum:

I intend to go to Fargo somewhere in the middle of this month(December). My apartment lease in Fargo will start from January 1. Its not possible to start living in the apartment before January 1.

So I will need a temporary place to live for almost 15 days. What can be my best option? what can be the best place to live for the fifteen days?
Also, if I choose an extended stay hotel, will I be able to get the learner's permit test with that kind of address(I mean a hotel address)?

Thanksss a lot for any advice, input, suggestions

There is are various extended stay motels that would be fine. With a signed lease in hand you might be able to use that address on the permit application.

One of my co-workers stayed at MainStay Suites, which is near West Acres and he said it was a good short term place. Fargo extended stay hotels, MainStay Suites, near West Acres Mall

Homewood Suites is another option and is in north Fargo; I do not know anyone who has stayed there. Hotel in Fargo | Homewood Suites by Hilton | Fargo Hotels

I'm seeing a number of hotels with sub-50 dollar rates per night. Find the cheapest and haggle it even lower. For an extended stay like that, especially if you pay cash, you have room to bargain.

Some cities have this competition among hotels, while others it seems hard pressed to find one under $60-70 a night, like they all get together and fix prices. Was able to stay in Rapid City during the off season in October for $35 per night.

I picked up one of those coupon books at a rest stop. Went to a hotel w/ the coupon, but ask them what the AAA discount was. Cheaper w/ AAA by $5/ night.

I would type my address into a yahoo map, after looking up addresses for things I would want to visit, like the West Acres mall, and then print out a door to door direction map.
