I've lived in both cities...but I haven't been to Fargo lately...I know that Sioux Falls is growing like crazy... How is Fargo doing? Anybody visited the two recently for comparison?

Fargo is still growing like always. Not as fast as Sioux Falls but good steady growth. Lots of new entertainment options are springing up in Fargo. The Hub just opened up a new bar/sports bar/club type of facility, it is really cool and big with colllege kids. The city is also looking at building an addition to the Fargodome and private developers are currently building a hockey arena on the south side of town. Here are some pics...

As for other things going on, a few months ago Microsoft announced it will spend 70 million dollars to expand their Fargo campus. NDSU is also doing quite well, the school passed UND in enrollment for the first time in its history. The current President at the school has really taken NDSU to a whole new level. Lots of good things going on in Fargo.

Knowing nothing about Souix Falls, I'm going to say Fargo is better.
My only rationalle is that Fargo has a larger college population & hence likely has better cultural / entertainment opportunities.

In other random, baseless, opinions, the Urban Plains development looks really cool.

I'm sure the The Hub is / will be neat too. Unfortuanatly, I need the latest version of "Flash" to view the website

The Hub is really neat, I probably should have mentioned that it was called playmakers before but its owners decided to give the place a multi-million dollar renovation and a new name as well. Its been open for a month or so and they really did a great job at making their 7 different clubs/bars work well together under 1 roof. The Hub is probably the only place in America that has a top 100 concert venue and top 25 sports bar all under one roof.

I also agree with what you said about entertainment opportunties, that is probably the one thing that sets the two cities apart.

Agree...I live in Sioux Falls...and they are talking about building a new arena/entertainment center... All the "big acts" usually go to Fargo or Sioux City...."The Hub" looks really great!

Default Camping Near Soo Foo

We love to camp at the Pinnacles outside of Garrteson, near Soo Foo. Then we love to get cleaned up and stay at a Days Inn in SF that has (GASP!) SOS (biskits and gravy) for breakfast. Awesome! IT's closer for us than Fargo, which is a bit too Far to) Go. (ROFL at Word Pun!)

The SOS is short for an old army term S.(fecal matter lets say) On a Shingle, its actually chipped beef on toast. not biscuits and gravy.

I've never seen that movie... Does it have anything to do with the actual city of Fargo?
