We are moving from PA to Fargo in late August. We don't have a job lined up and don't have an apartment lined up either. Call us crazy, but we needed to make the move. We will have enough money for a few months without needing a job, but we still need to find an apartment.

What are some good apartments to look into? Are there any apartments that may take our money without a job lined up? Also, are there any apartments that you're aware of that will do middle of the month leases, ex. September 15th. We'll be coming into town the last week of August, so not sure we would be able to secure a lease for the normal first of the month leases. Any help appreciated!

Granted, we'll be staying with a relative for 2 weeks, so we very well may have a job by then. We plan on applying just about everywhere, but we still would like to find an apartment right when we get there.

Thanks in advance x

I'm not from Fargo...yet. But maybe if you offer two months rent up front they'd be more willing to rent to you. Two months should give you more than enough time to get settled in a new job. Also...I've never known any landlord that hasn't prorated a first months rent. If something is vacant and it just so happens its the 15th of the month before a renter is found...they'll want to start the lease asap. Their losing money to wait.

Good Luck! I'll be following your post....we'll help me in the future.
