I've always wondered about the logic of relocating people accustomed to living in hot deserts to areas that are freezing cold tundra.

They seem to adjust well.

As do Midwesterners who move to Phoenix.

They seem to be OK, but I have no idea how they feel about the weather. I think it's probably easier for people to move from a cold climate to a warm climate.

In my semi-cold clime, I hear more complaining from the natives than I do any sort of transplant.
