Allegiant Airlines will begin flight service this Autumn between Hector International Airport in Fargo to the Tampa St. Petersburg metro area in Florida. Allegiant Airlines also announced new service between St. Cloud Minnesota and the Orlando - Sanford Regional Airport; the Sanford Intl Airport is used by a lot of British travelers flying into Orlando.

In major metro area's, Allegiant will often fly to smaller regional airports on the suburban/ exurban fringe of the city like: Mesa Gateway airport instead of Phoenix Sky Harbor; Sanford instead of Orlando Intl; St. Cloud Regional Airport instead of Minneapolis -St. Paul International.

That's kind of an oddball trip, isn't it? Is there a call for that run?

Where I live, I can fly to Denver in the morning, or Denver in the evening. Wait til the next day and I can fly to Denver in the morning, or Denver in the evening. Course, I guess it's better than walking.

Allegiant has been flying Tampa to Rockford IL (1050 miles) plus Cedar Rapids (1090 miles) and Des Moines (1130 miles) in Iowa. It isn't that big of a stretch to fly to Sioux Falls, SD (1330 miles) and Fargo ND (1520 miles).

It is nice to see Allegiant flying longer distances. Now from Fargo you can catch a flight to Orlando and Tampa or Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Allegiant is now flying from Plattsburgh, NY (PLB) to McCarran Intl, Las Vegas, NV (LAS) (a distance of 2240 miles). They are expanding their scope dramatically.
