Hi
Got a job offer in Fargo and intend to put daughter in South Fargo High, but the apartment is not within walking distance, the nearest one is 26 mins walking. Unable to send and pick up due to work.
Being unemployed for a year, hate to give it up.

Any Fargo parents can tell you how you kids go to school. Any input appreciated.

Worried mom

Here is the link to the Fargo Public Schools bus schedule:

Transportation - Transportation

South High, like all of the schools, has bus service that covers its attendance area. If you happen to live in a neighborhood that would normally feed into one of the other high schools but have your daughter at South through the petition process, then you're on your own as far as transportation goes. But otherwise, she should be able to get to school on the bus. After school can be another issue. If she isn't involved in any sports or other extracurriculars, there are buses that run the same routes in the afternoon. But if she's done with practice at 5:30 or so, then again parents/kids have to work out their own transportation. It is amazing the number of kids with their own cars, so often carpools can be worked out, though some sports are much better at facilitating that (cross country) than others (baseball, for instance).
