I'm looking to move to Fargo from Atlanta, Georgia. I'm really afraid of moving. But I would hate to spend my life just living in one area. There's so much of America to explore. I'm looking for friends in the Fargo area. That I can converse with while still here in Ga. And after I get a chance to visit Fargo.

Hi pearpie,

I've been looking to move to Fargo for a couple of months now, and couldn't afford to visit the city before making a decision. But here I am, getting ready to move to my new place in Fargo! This is a real adventure I am suddenly jumping on!

These people on the forums have been really helpful in telling me about Fargo and giving me advice and tips on living here. They really helped me with making my decision. I hope they can help you too!

Let me ask you this, why are you talking yourself out of it? Is it fear of the work involved with the move? Is it the fact that you are moving away from friends? Is it the fear of the unknown?

North Dakota is not an third world country. You will find nice neighborhoods filled with friendly people. I'd bet that neighbors come over and offer to help unload your stuff. You'll find coffee shops, just like back home. You'll find shopping, no different than where you live now. There's not a lot of difference, other than the people and you will find them friendlier.

If your goal is to explore America, Fargo is probably a poor location. It's in the middle of boring, featureless, flat land and it isn't really close to much of anything.

What makes you want to leave a sunbelt state for frozen tundra?
