I just moved to Fargo about a month ago. I came from the Idaho oregon backcountry and enjoy more than anything my shooting sports, and hunting. I am having trouble finding public land and hunting areas around here. I heard there are some sand hills sw of fargo that are shooting friendly. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated-Thank you
they just opened an indoor pistol range (google "red river marksmanship club" or somethin like that). there is also a free to use outdoor rifle range just to the north and west of the cassleton resivour. and a rifle range and clay pigeon range in horace. if you go to scheels or a place like that you can find maps with plots and crp land that you can hunt. there is a fair amount around, you just have to drive a little.
Also you can go to NDGF PLOTS maps to find areas that are open to hunt. Game and Fish Department, North Dakota | PLOTS Maps (http://gf.nd.gov/maps/plots.html - broken link)
