There used to be a place called 'The Oven Door' that did pretty much everything. Not sure if they're still around or not.

Are 'Cake Decorators' (or 'Wedding Cakes' or something similar) listed in the yellowpages? I don't have a Fargo phonebook handy.

Oven Door catering is still very much present; they do a lot of institutional work (daycare, school lunch catering, etc.). I'm not sure how much small batch catering/baking they do.
Also--a couple I forgot:
Quality Bakery

And not perhaps for a kids birthday party, but for very special occasions--Fantasies in Frosting is very, very good.

Oh, How could I forget Quality Bakery!!!!!! And you had already mentioned Nichole's.

Interesting how Oven Door has evolved. They used to do party & wedding cakes. We looked at them for our wedding 20 some years ago.

A Piece of Cake inside Moxie Java downtown Fargo is amazing. We always struggle between the raspberry swirl with almond frosting of the Red Velvet because they're both oh, so good!

I think the OP has probably found cupcakes by now. That post was 2 years old. However, it's good info for the rest of us.
