I just can't wear polish on my fingernails. I do too much stuff with my hands, so it starts to chip within a couple of days. I do, however, wear polish on my toenails. Right now it's a sandy goldish colour.

Gunmetal is what I wear and I love it. Other shades I wear are metallic purple, fuschia and coral. Definitely not a yellow or green nailpolish person. Red isn't for me either. I've always worn what "I" like, not what's in. That pretty much sums up my choice of apparel as well.

Trends don't suit everyone.

Have this on my toes now. Looks great with a tan and bright sun.

I have that same issue and it bothers me to no end! On my toes, I have that L'oreal Blue I mentioned earlier. Actually it's darker blue than I wanted because the other blue looked sorta grey:

Now that I've seen it on someone's nails, I think I'm going to go back for that grey/blue as it's kinda pretty.

I'll wear almost any color much to my husbands dismay. .( I have medium length natural nails that I square off)

I recently had them painted a mint green by Nicole for OPI called Peas and Q's. I loved it, but he hated it so much I took it off after a few days so he would stop whining.

Next up, China Glaze Pool Party. I bet he hates that too. I swear I think he only likes French manicures.

Raena that color is purty. Want!

I always pick them up from Giant. They are cheaper there.

Here, navy and grey have supplanted black. I like dark polish, but only on my toes (currently navy). When I wear bright, vivid nail polish, I only wear it on my toes, as well. My hands generally only get pale, neutral polish. I currently have to wear my nails shorter than I prefer for work (disabled children, too much room for accidentally scratching them while assisting them or carrying/moving them if nails are even slightly long), so I'm not particularly interested in drawing attention to my stubby nails.

i like black nail polish, but i cant wear it. looks bad with my skin tone. i just painted mine metallic red for the holiday...but next up is a light turquoise. i have tons of nail polish, most every color you could imagine lol. the darker colors always disappoint though, they make me look pink lol. unflattering.

My biggest pet peeve with darker polish is that it can take multiple coats to look even and non-streaky, or even its desired shade of darkness.
