Speaking of the poll...I find the results interesting...

The two leading options are

1.Roughneck, mechanic types

2.Polished....

With I think Yuppie/casual in close third...

What that tells me is that women like clear cut definition in their men...

Notice how the two extremes lead in the polls...either smooth polished Oceans Eleven type of guy (George Clooney), or rough tough Stevie Austin type (WCW wrestler)

That tells me that the majority of women want to know who their man is, they want a clear definition of who they're with....

They don't want their man to be tough as leather one day...
And then the next day sitting on the couch crying over an emotional episode of the Oprah show...

Women want 'clarity' in their men...regardless of which extreme...they just seem to want 'clarity....interesting...

(at least according to this small poll)

See, I don't agree with this. I do consider their character as well as how they dress themselves. If I have a problem with how they dress themselves, then I don't pursue it because that is part of who they are. It's not for me to change, it's for me to accept or leave.

Personally I would not want a Ken doll. How boring. And those types, in my personal experience, (please re-read that), tend to be rather uptight.

A look I personally do not like is the never gone baseball cap. It's on, all the time, never taken off. It's like an accessory that is worn no matter where they go, no matter the event. Drives me crazy.

BUT, if that is what makes them happy, who am I to change that? I let them find someone who doesn't mind it and I move on.

This is where i think women subconsciously lie to themselves...

On the surface...many say they 'don't want a Ken doll' type of mate...

But in reality...they chisel away at their mate until the get such a resemblence...

'Yes I'll fix the door handle'...

'Yes, you are always right'...

'Of course your mother in law can stay for 3 weeks, and sleep in my room...I'll take the couch'...

'Dinner was great...I love left over meatloaf'...

Hi..my name is Ken...

It sounds like you have a problem with women. Have you met any you like, or are we all deluded busybodies?

Van Halen - Van Halen - Runnin' With The Devil - YouTube

I don't have a problem with woman...they have a problem with me...

I don't really fit the Ken Doll template...at least not in my art...

Actually...I do...I mean in real life I can be like Ward Cleaver...

But I have such a creative side that as a kid I had to hide cause my fther was so strict...

So now it comes out...but most woman aren't diggen that...

They want the Ken Doll template...

I miss all the punk rock chicks that were around when I was younger...

Where have all the punk rock chicks gone?? what did they mature into??

Plus...I'm a male of color...tell me one black chic that would go for something like this???

Maybe on mars...

How boring! The only two actors that look similare to a Ken doll (To me) are Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg.

To turn this scenerio around...

Do guys seek after 'Barbie doll babes'??

Maybe some do, but I don't...

My ideal babe is a cute looking 'Tom boy'...feminine, but rugged...

Why?

Cause I value a babe who is versatile...in other words, the more versatile one is in a relationship, the least likely you'll have to look elsewhere for recreational fun...

I value a woman who like to camp now and then, not afraid to canoue or white water rafting...
A woman whom basically would do anything with me a theoretical best male friend would do...

(why so many males are gay now...think about it)...

And still be cute, soft and feminine....

Now it only makes sense that the opposite of a Tom boy would be a Tom girl...
In other words, a male, who has range...can go shopping with a female, comment on fashion, enjoy a good love novel ect ect...but still retains his 'rambo side' when occasion calls for it...

To me, it would give a relationship more wholeness...make it more round....

But instead women insist on one dimensional men (cause it serves their ego)...
And guys insist on one dimensional women (cause it serves their lust)....

Thus you have all these relationships and marriages that fizz out after a few months or years...

What I just wrote is very cutting edge...if some renowned phycologist said it, or wrote a thesis on it, they'd be hailed as 'brilliant' or this or that...

But instead, I said it...and thus it will be buried in Time and Space...
