Yes, I wear minimal makeup every day, even if I'm staying at home.

I wear makeup (mascara, blush and lip gloss) maybe once a week. I try to keep my skin in good condition so I feel o.k. going without makeup.

I COMPLETELY agree. Why would anyone wear makeup if they are staying at home alone?

Wasted effort, unless it's typical that friends would drop by unannounced. In which case, yes, put on basic makeup and have your house presentable every day.

Nope. I wear it for special occasions, but normally I wear no make-up at all even when I'll be out in public. I don't think I'm terribly unusual for Colorado. We're just not big cosmetics users in general. I do, however, take care of my skin with daily moisturizer and sunscreen.

I totally agree. Not only is it a waste of products, which is a waste of money quicker because you're using up those products (& having to buy more sooner), but if you're home ALONE especially, no one will see you anyway so who cares. PLUS, that's the time to allow your bare skin to breathe for a change.

I would never wear make-up at home since I'm alone most days. However if I'm leaving the house to go shopping or work (small office - just three of us and one is a relative) I wear the bare minimum: mascara, eyebrow powder, light blush and lipstick. Now if I'm going somewhere special I will do the foundation, blush, eye shadow, etc.

Now in my late 60's, I wear very little makeup, even if going out. At home I do put on brow powder and a lip tint, that's it. Going out, I will include a tiny bit of liner and mascara, only a little concealer on a few light age spots, but no foundation or powder. My skin stays in very good condition this way, and I love not having to remove a bunch of cosmetics at night.
