I know this sounds silly, but I can't find a nice robe anywhere. I've tried just about everywhere, from big box discount, like Walmart, Target, to more upscale places like Macys, etc. I want a nice housecoat, not some thick, heavy terry cloth thing I sweat to death in, something that zips up, not some wrap thing constantly coming apart.

I'd be willing to pay upwards of $30--$40 for something decent, any suggestions?

Something like this?

In this version they only have plus sizes available, but at least it gives you the name of a manufacturer in case none of those sizes will fit.

If you found something you like from LLBean or Lands End, why not try to find that item on Ebay and get a cheaper buy? Just a thought. I research everything first, then shop on Ebay. Often you can find brand new w/ tags still on for a lot less and usually free shipping.

Crabtree and Evelyn -- they have really nice ones. Here's a basic on their site Apparel Blue Robe | Gift Ideas | Gifts by Interest | Spa | Crabtree & Evelyn

But they also have seasonal ones in their stores.

Anthropologie usually has cute light to mid-weight robes. All of the ones I've seen are wraps but some of them have a tie on the inside so the robe doesn't pull apart while you're wearing it.
