I'm so excited for fall so that I can finally start wearing boots again! I usually buy a couple new pairs a year, but I'm not sure which styles I want yet. I just started working with the Sperry team and they are rolling out their new fall boots and they look so comfortable! The Bayshore tall boot looks a lot like Ugg boots but is less bulky. Do you all usually buy boots for style (like the knee-high high-heeled ones) or comfort (like Sperry or Uggs)?
Different boots for different purposes. The boots you showed look nice for walking outdoors as long as they are waterproof. I usually wear high-heeled boots if I'm not going to be walking on dirt or grass, but the look of stiletto boots rather than wedge/chunky-heeled boots seems to be getting old. (Stiletto boots remind me of the late '90s, early '00s for some reason.) I'm searching for flat-bottomed boots that can be worn with a skirt or nice top w/jeans.
I completely missed the "bootie" craze that was going on last year. Are they still in fashion? They are starting to grow on me (worn with tights or thigh high knitted stockings) but they may be passe now. I missed coverage of NY Fashion Week so I have no idea of what's what anymore!

I like those very much. I have also been working the cowboy type boots even with leggings and a longer tunic style top and wearing it with a short sleeve coat for transition of lengths. I also like a scarf and some rocking big earrings. I have some high heeled thigh high boots that I totally love, but, I usually end up wearing those only for crazy times
I think I'm leaning more towards comfort over stiletto boots, but those are still fun to rock every once in a while! If we have another crazy winter in DC like last year I'm definitely going to have to go with warmth and waterproof over style. I like these Pelican boots from Sperry too...they will be excellent for trudging through the snow and slush on my way to work.

I'm 5'3, so bulky boots never look good on me, IMO. I always make sure they fit the shape of my leg, especially around the ankle. I usually stick to ankle boots or knee high and particularly love wedges. For me, it's a nice combination of height and comfort.
