Who cares what the norm is? You should be concerned with health.

If you can make out the ribs, you're too skinny.
If you have too much fat on your belly that you cannot make out your abs (when flexed), you're too fat.

Get healthy people. I know there's more to health, but this is a good way to gauge fat/skinny issues.
