As one of the comments said on that site, this can take body modification to a new level. I know you don't approve of tattoos, but for those of us who like them, we should be seeing some very interesting and beautiful designs in the future.
Tattoos are one thing but peeling back layers of skin so that a light grid can be inserted is just a whole nother story!!!
The sad part is there will be morons with more money than brains that will do this then suffer again when they have to either fix a light bulb or remove the whole mess.
Wow, I'm reading about a lot of cool ideas involving these gadgets, to the point where now I have ideas for them. Most applications are obviously sci fi related. Iron Man arc reactor chestpieces, ET fingers, and (what I think might have been a joke but someone is bound to do it) penile lightsabers.
The next few years are going to bring out some very interesting pieces of body modification.
