Well we moved from the cloudy Midwest to the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix area)and despite many measures to protect my skin {give advice if you like but honestly I am the queen of sunscreen/hats,etc.}, well, I developed discoloration on my cheeks and around my lips anyhow. They are not cute and freckly like some ladies get, they are blotchy.

I do want to give rave reviews to a product by Clinique called Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector. It was not cheap , about $50-60 but it did what it said it would do. It dramatically lightened my spots in about 2-3 weeks and they continue to improve. I really hate to invest so much in product for little or no gain, but I shelled out for this because my spots were very obvious.

A trip to the dermatologist is costly, even if you have insurance. Its nice to know that there is something over the counter that really works Buy with confidence.

That's good to know! I go every year to a plastic surgeon and have IPL treatments to get rid of dark spots/sun damage, and it's expensive. I'll give the Clinique a try.

Your results are probably much better with lasering but not an an option for all of us. The nice lady who sold it to me had also not tried it but had done laser treatment. It may at least stretch out the length you can go between treatments.
