I do not shop specifically for brands, but I have found that there are several brands that I tend to gravitate toward again and again because I like the quality and fit.

I stay away from the logo clothes, shoes, and bags... I just don't care for the look.

Instead, I pay attention to the feel of the fabric, the quality of contruction, and the fit. Of course, I care if the item is flattering and comfortable as well. It usually takes me some time to find the items I purchase, because I am somewhat picky... so when I do find a brand that fit the criteria, I will try that brand again when shopping for an addition to my wardrobe.

When checking out trendy fast fashions it is always best to do all the above. Check the threading, the seams, pull at it, etc...
