Come on, this can look very cute, and not childish at all

Just to say that the key is not overdoing with the colors and the rest of the outfit.
I also don't like polka dots, most of the times.

I always thought black and brown is a normal association, it is probably a matter of taste. What color of shoes do you like to associate with black socks? Or a different color of socks. I'm also keen to thing there are better color pairing.

Ok, but this is a matter of taste, I admit, though it depends on the brown.
Do you prefer maybe dark blue with brown or beige? Or beige with dark blue or black socks?
