80's is more white knee socks. This is about ankle socks with an otherwise pretty "normal" outfit.

I think it's a difficult trend to pull off. You have to be fairly young and walk the line between that sweet, youthful look without wandering into "To Catch a Predator" territory.

But I have seen it done in ways I appreciate. Maybe even enough to give it a try.

After staring at them for weeks, I ordered these heels I found through the Fashion of Glee blog. I wasn't around for the 80s trend but I'm digging this look and have some dresses that would work well with it.



P.S. it's hard to take pictures of your own shoes from this angle!
